......Hi paperlifers, when you read this I will be off again to yet another end of the year field trip to the zoo, so I just wanted to pop in today and say hello and tell you about something I know to be true.
little things matter.
Not long ago, a relative stranger, to me, took the time to brighten my day in a very special way, they took the time to reach out and make a simple gesture to someone (me) who they saw in need, not really knowing me but, knowing and recognizing what it is to need an everyday kind of pick me up sometimes.
That small gesture lead to something that has become very important in my life. That gesture sparked a friendship, gave me a mentor, let me see there really are incredible souls out there, and reaffirmed what I knew all along, and that is the magic of life is in the little things and who you can really celebrate them with. In the power of the things we say and do for others. In the not so coincidental way certain people are put in your path at certain times in life.
And, the most magically mysterious everyday thing of all is that, if you would ask this person, they would somehow tell you that I was the one placed in their life for them for all those same reasons.....funny how that works.....mysterious.....magical really.
And again today, that person once again did something that will seem small to many but, spoke volumes to my heart and made me feel very special! Its that simple magic. That everyday sparkle. That light that shines when you share your heart with others. The things you can't put a price tag on, that is the true magic behind it all. And how blessed am I that my friend understands that magic?!?
So, thanks for the magic today and everyday my dear friend, and for taking the time, that one day, not so long ago, to make that small gesture that sparked what has become one of my most cherished gifts, my amazing, everyday, magical, friendship with you!
Love, Amy
