this is a story about this boy, that happened over the weekend. Many of you who have read this blog and the coonkid's blog prior to it know about Tucker's fall and his resulting brain injury. You know we have had him here there and everywhere to the best doctors. Basically, where Tucker's injury occurred it mostly effected his speech and left side weakness. Because Tucker has been working with speech, PT's, and OT's since he was very small he has over come most all of his delays in these areas. YAY!!! But one thing the doctors always told us we should not get our hopes up for, and that Tucker would probably never overcome was a left side deficit that really affected his ability to pull his left leg up and around in a fluid motion. Basically they told us this would never happen:
proud, humbled, grateful, happy, relief, hopeful, excitement, nothing really fits how seeing this feels like other than
MIRACLE
I know we are in the middle of reveal weak, another thing that I am grateful beyond words for but, I really felt I needed to celebrate this with you today.
I have prayed about this for 7 years, and Tucker has worked sooooo hard to make this happen, and with a small miracle from God, that is so enormous to us, we were given this over the weekend. The ability to ride, the ability to be like the other kids, the ability to feel confidence and freedom, the ability to enjoy life as a seven year old boy just that much more. With tears in my eyes I write this and thank God! And am so proud of a little guy who has worked so hard to beat the odds in so many ways than just this.
We love you Tucker Bear and ride like the wind, just be safe because you always carry my heart wherever you go!
OK so back to the reveals! On papergirl Megan Klauer's blog today you can get a little sneak of 1 of our 3 new lines:
http://meganklauerdesign.blogspot.com/
and I am going to show you a layout I did with our sweetest line that I will fully reveal tomorrow.
this line came about as a result of the Coonkids and I's obsession for all the cake decorating shows, especially cake boss and well truth be told my life-long weakness for
FROSTING!!!!
So brush your teeth really good tonight because you will be in sugar overdrive with tomorrows reveal.
Enjoy the day everybody and remember to celebrate the little things because, that is what life is really all about in the end. The priceless little moments and victories!
Hugs, Amy

Oh, Amy, I am so very happy for you! 'So grateful for Tucker's accomplishments. I know how proud you must be!

Renee

God is good....All the time!!! We have a similar case with my sister. She was in a terrible car accident when she was 15. She was not going to walk, talk, be "potty trained" ever again. Today she is 30...living on her own, working at McDonalds and asking every doctor she has ever had if he has Jesus in his/her heart! She realizes what God has done for her and can't believe people would not love God also. Her mental age is not 30 but we are very thankful for the abilities He has given her!!!
The road is long and hard, but God's grace is always sufficient!
I am celebrating with you today!!!!! I understand it completely!
