Finding Your Style

Wow, this is something I have been thinking a lot about lately.  And I am not just talking about my scrapbooking style, but, what style is ME.  And since I have been having to think about and evaluate this so much, this little shop in Santa Monica, CA, that my MIL and I came across this January, will not quit popping up in my mind.  

Have you ever just walked in somewhere and knew?  Just knew this could be home and you could just sit and look and be completely happy and inspired for hours on end.  Kind of like someone was holding a mirror up to your creative soul for you to see its reflection?  Well, it happened in this little couture vintage boutique in Santa Monica, for me.  I was so struck, I asked them if I could take pictures, and I had a hard time even leaving .

So, I wanted to show this little shop to you, Varga is its name, and if I could open a little shop of my own, and who know maybe I am (wink),  I know it would look a lot like this:

Little bit whimsy

softly dreamy

very vintage but with,

a hint of modern,

and most of all

FULL of juxtaposition.

You know the whole,  t-shirts and tiara's, jeans and jimmy Choo's, boots and ballgowns.

Pretty much....Varga.....enjoy.

A bit of glam and a funky pink wig

topiaries and fashions to last you for weeks

classic black checkered floors to welcome you in, once you get past the amazement of delicious window scenes.

this is me,

with weekend trips to the "junque" markets and

an occasional hint of anthropolgie, Juicy Couture, and ballard designs thrown in for good measure

this is my style!
